how it all started

"Revive Rugby has always been about relationships.  Its origins lie in a small group of church leaders and their spouses from different traditions 25 years ago.  This group enjoyed one another’s company and loved Jesus.  They would meet regularly for the fun of it, to worship and to pray for Rugby and the churches of Rugby.  In time, other church leaders from across the borough wanted to become involved, and this wider circle began to develop relations and the meet regularly for breakfast and to pray.

Early on it was realised this was something special that could only be described as “a move of God”.  The various activities and ministries that Revive is more widely known for and described elsewhere, grew out of these relationships of trust and respect for each other.  Coupled with an understanding that together we are God’s church in Rugby.  As church leaders have come and gone over 25 years, this fundamental aspect of being built on personal relationships and being a move of God led by the Holy Spirit, has sustained the work and witness of Revive."
